  This place is hood and this is coming from someone who lives in the hood. Went for a friend's birthday, got bottle service and a booth. Ended up having to pay a $15 entrance fee even though we were on the guestlist and it was 2 minutes after 11pm. (Ladies free before 11pm) A guy purposely spilled alcohol all over our booth when we asked him not to sit there, he was ejected by the bouncers (who were very nice and stood by our booth the rest of the night), but he was only ejected to the other side of the club. Anyway, service was slow and the booths are all connected so we had people wondering in our area constantly. The age range for this place was all over the place and there was barely a dress code. I probably could've arrived in pyjamas. I would've rather arrived in pyjamas.

  I just wanted to write a review because I almost didn’t go to this club because of all the bad reviews about the security and the way they treat people.
  
  1. We went this last Saturday and the security was EXCELLENT.
  2. They were polite and friendly
  3. When our VIP area was too small, the security came and made adjustments to make it bigger
  
  I saw a young girl outside who was very drunk. The female security guard (dark skinned, very light eyes and braids), stayed with her, was giving her water, helped her to call her family to pick her up. This security guard cared for this girl like a family member.
  
  We had an excellent time at Cocktail House!!!

  One of the worst nights I've had. The first bouncer was a nice guy after refusing to let some of my friends in. After we talked for a while and tried to convince them to let us in, one of the ladies that worked there started to scream at me and my friends to leave. We tried to talk to her and tell her to speak to us like a human being rather than yelling but that set her off more. I won't be going there anymore and will not be recommending to anyone.

  This place is amazing for the location. Top notch tunes and a downtown atmosphere. But I do agree with all the reviews about security, why do my balls need an intrusive search.
